my process
The large life-sized sculptures of “Warrior Women” are constructed from tape and paper clay made from my own recipe. The clay forms are covered with paper collage and layers of varnish giving them an eerily realistic appearance.
“Warrior Princess” was constructed from a Simplicity Pattern with 140lb watercolor paper. I use paper mache’, paper clay and layers of varnish.
